On Friday, June 14, we finished off our community studies week with a nature walk to Payson Park. It had rained the day before, so it was a bit muddy. It took us about 25 minutes to get there. We saw lots of pretty flowers along the way. We also saw seagulls, butterflies, birds, squirrels, trees, rocks, water, bridges, moss, mushrooms, and oh so much more.
When we got there, they used the playground equipment for 15 minutes. Then, we had lunch there. We got a big group photo on the bridge before we headed back. After recess, everyone wrote about four things that they saw along the way on their observation sheet. It was a lot of fun!
