Just a friendly reminder that our open house for first graders will be held on Thursday 9/27 from 6-7 p.m. Our room will be open, and students will have a chance to show you around. We’ll have some early writing and a counting book for you to look at. There is also a short piece of writing in the hallway outside of our room that tells something that each child likes to do with their illustration. Don’t forget to check them out.

The book fair will be downstairs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Hello Everyone,

Just a friendly reminder that library books are due back to school on Wednesdays. If they don’t return their books from last week, they can’t take out any new books. Try to help your child remember to bring them back on time, if they take them home to share. You can always aim for sending them back to school on Monday morning, so they can put them back in their book boxes early.

Just a friendly reminder that our first field trip will be this Thursday, September 27th for the Conservation Fair at the Union Fairgrounds. The bus will leave school at 9 a.m., so please try to have your student dropped off on time to take care of things. Don’t forget to send a lunch, if you didn’t order one from school. Make sure they have comfortable walking shoes and a layer of clothing to accommodate any kind of weather. We’ll be returning to school at 1:30 p.m.

Welcome First Graders!

I can’t believe tomorrow is the first day of first grade! I can’t wait to see everyone! We have 16 kids in our class, and I know we are going to have a wonderful year!
