I’m excited to say that we will have the opportunity to see a Storybook Theater performance by MVHS on Thursday of this week. It will be in the afternoon. Throughout the week we will be reading some of the books whose characters will be involved in the performance to help with their understanding. I’m looking forward to it!

Just a reminder that book orders for January are due today. You can also order online. I probably will not place the order until Monday, so feel free to order online over the weekend. If you have questions about how to do that just go to the home page here on the blog. At the top you’ll see the Scholastic Reading Club page. I’m a little behind on my posts, but I wanted to attach a copy of the letter we received from a Maine author, Toni Buzzeo. I sent a copy home along with a photo copy of the letter that your child wrote to her. However, I have also included the email letter she sent to me in response. I was so excited to hear back from her, and I thought she wrote a fabulously personal letter back to our class. I hope your child was as excited about it as I was!  Letter from Toni Buzzeo

It’s hard to believe that the time has flown by so fast for this vacation. I hope everyone was able to get some rest and enjoy some quiet time with family and friends. I was very busy during vacation but had plenty of time for school planning and relaxing with my family. This week we will be starting a new writing unit, and I am very excited about that. I also have some fun news to share with everyone tomorrow morning!

I look forward to seeing all my smiling faces in the morning!
